The Lace Hotel

As always, our aesthetic approach to this project began by exploring the context in which it would exist.  True to our design philosophy, we studied not just the street corner that would house the hotel, but engaged in macro level examination of the wider Nottinghamshire region. These preeminent considerations revealed not only the bucolic beauty of the surrounding landscape and woodlands, but the proud history of the city of Nottingham as industrial hub and leading mass producer of lace.  Renowned to this day for its lace-making heritage and home to the historic Lace Market and its intricate and layered Victorian buildings, Nottingham itself served as our greatest inspiration for this project’s facade and interiors.
