This new-build single family home in Lewisham, South London exemplifies small-scale urban regeneration.  Forged by the largely overgrown, shed-laden gardens of the larger homes fronting Adelaide Road, this section of Ivy Road screams for rehabilitation with new residential stock.  Our proposal does exactly that with a modest two-storey insertion housing three bedrooms, a living and dining area, kitchen, and utility space.  Limited vertically by the scale of neighbouring properties, we employed over-sized dormers to achieve the necessary accommodation.  Wrapped in a pleasing palette of cream brickwork with bronze surrounds, dormers, windows, and doors, the final composition will greatly uplift this stretch of Ivy Road and undoubtedly encourage its neighbours to follow suit!
