Seventy-Two
This complete refurbishment included one key change, unlocking its full potential. By relocating the rear bathroom, the kitchen now has direct access into the newly landscaped garden via full-width glazing, creating an indoor-outdoor space, effectively doubling the living + entertaining area. The house was then stripped back and refurbished with a smart and subtle palette of crisp white walls, warm timber flooring, mottled porcelain tiles in the kitchen and bathroom, a mushroom-coloured kitchen and black fittings.
The resulting house is a stunning composition and transformation of what had been a tiny, scruffy and awkward house into a collection of warm and inviting spaces. A house which totals much more than just the sum of its parts. It is a beautiful, sophisticated small family home. Small, but very clever.
